Shipping & Delivery
We endeavour to dispatch orders on the next day following the receipt of your order, but please allow 14 days for delivery.

We aim to hold stocks of all items displayed on our website in all sizes and colours. However, occasionally a supplier will become out of stock or withdraw a product without notice or we sell out due to high demand particularly at busy times like Christmas. In the event that an item is out of stock, we will back order it for you. We will email and or telephone you to let you know this and give you an expected date of dispatch.

If you are not happy with the expected delivery date you are able to cancel your order by email, telephone or in writing and receive a full refund for the out of stock goods. Any refund will be credited to the card used on the website to purchase the goods.

Please ensure that we have your telephone number so that we can contact you quickly if your order is likely to be delayed.

We charge only £3 per order for delivery within the UK. We currently do not ship outside of the UK.

In order to keep costs and prices low we send the majority of orders by standard Second Class Royal Mail.

All orders are despatched in a sealed waterproof bag so your purchase should reach you in perfect condition. If your purchase arrives damaged in any way, please let us know.

Privacy & Security
At Hopwoods we take your security very seriously and want you to be completely relaxed about shopping online.

That's why our website uses Secure Sockets Layer technology (SSL) to ensure that your personal and financial information is secure at all times. SSL is the industry standard used by reputable websites to encrypt their customers financial information.

When we ask you to provide us with your financial information you will be automatically redirected to a secure area provided by our payment processing provider WorldPay.. You will know when you are in the secure area as a padlock will appear on your browser. The URL will also change to https://.

Please be assured that your payment card details are not held on the server used to host our site. You will therefore be required to re-input them each time you shop with us.

Please note that we will never ask you to provide financial information via email. If you receive an email claiming to be from Hopwoods asking you to do so, please do not respond to it and contact us immediately.

We value your privacy and understand that some of our customers feel especially uncomfortable providing their personal details to online companies. Please be assured that we have never passed on any information about our customers to anyone else. We have no intention of selling your details to others.

In order to process your order online, we will need the following information: your name, email address, credit / debit card number, expiry date and security number, the address to which the card is registered and a delivery address if different. Although not compulsory, we would also like to have your telephone number so that we can contact you quickly should there be a problem with your order that we need to discuss with you.

We will only use the information we hold about you lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

If at any time you no longer wish to receive correspondence from us, please let us know and we will remove your details from our database immediately.

Returns & Replacements
We want you to be delighted with your purchase. If you are not completely happy with your purchase, please return it to us within 30 days in a re-saleable condition (unworn or unused and in its original packaging) for a no quibble refund or replacement.

HJ Hall offers an unconditional 6-month guarantee on their socks and underwear. If within 6 months from the date of purchase you are not entirely happy with your HJ Hall product, simply contact us to arrange a replacement.

Unless the goods are faulty or incorrectly supplied we ask that you pay for the cost of returning the goods to us. We recommend that you obtain proof of postage from the Post Office when you return goods, as we cannot accept responsibility for goods that you send but do not arrive.

If the goods that we have sent you are faulty or incorrectly supplied, we will either replace them or provide a refund at your request. Please contact us to make arrangements for the return. We will either send you a stamped returns bag or credit your account with the cost of returns postage. You can choose whichever option is the most convenient to you.

Ordering
Ordering online is really straightforward.

1. Find what you are looking for

Browse through the site using the product category list or brand tabs on the left hand side of the page. Click on a tab and click on a sub tab or image to get a list of the products in the sub category. You can also find what you are looking for by using the search facility at the top of each page. Type in a key word or product number and press Go. You will then be given a list of products that match your search.

When you have found a product that interests you, click on the image or product name to see a larger image, a detailed description, size and colour options. Select your chosen goods in the size and colour of your choice and add the item to your shopping basket by clicking the "Add to Basket" button.

When you have opened your shopping basket, you will be able to amend your order by removing an item or changing the quantity. You will also be able to add more items by clicking on the "Continue Shopping" button.

2. Provide your personal details

Once you have finished making your selections click on "Checkout" at the top of the page and this will take you to the customer log in section. If you are a new customer, click the Create New Account button and complete the new customer form with your name and address details etc. You may find it usful to use your full name e.g John Smith as your login name. In the State/province field please type in the County in which you live.

If you are an existing customer, simply log in with your login name and password to access your account.

You can also shop without creating an account, however, this will mean that you will need to type in your personal details each time you shop with us.

3. Shipping and Payment Options

We currently only offer shipping through Royal Mail 2nd Class post via our website. If you would like your goods sent by 1st class post please order by phone on 0117 9686689. So please select Royal Mail 2nd Class and Pay with Credit/Debit Card and then click to continue.

A new screen will appear with your shipping and order details. Please read this page carefully and click continue if you are happy to prodeed.

4. Pay for your goods

You will now be taken to the secure payment section where your card details will be requested for payment.

We accept all major debit and credit cards with the exception of American Express and Diners Card.

Once you have placed your order and provided us with your card details we will email you to confirm your order. Protx will also email you to confirm that the payment has been successfully processed.
